We
are just a three minute drive from the beach and fifteen minutes
from the world famous Mullins Beach where there is water sports
galore! Don't forget to pack your snorkeling gear, with Barbados'
crystal clear waters and abundant tropical fish. It's like swimming
in an aquarium.
Just
down the road from CoolHill House is Six-men's bay, Thursday-Saturday
nights only dine on the beach in a large open shack with tourist
and locals alike, the best local fish, chicken and pork cooked to
tender perfection right there in front of you, a rum and coke or
cold Banks beer is a must as you kick back and enjoy what is truly
a Barbadian way of life.
The
nearby historic water front town of Speightstown has supermarkets,
banks, colourful shops, restaurants and a busy fish market, you
will mingle with friendly locals as you buy fresh fruit and vegetables
from roadside vendors.
One must see nearby is the
Wild Life Reserve, be sure to go at feeding time when you can get
up close and sometimes personal with our native Green Monkeys.
There is so much to see and
do on Barbados and on an island 21 miles long and a smile wide every
thing is nearby.
